If you are leaving Srinagar by air, please note that it will take at least 1/1.5 hour extra time for check-in, as Srinagar Airport will have 2-3 rounds of extra check in. Even after check-in you have to go and identify your luggage, and then only luggage will be transferred to flight.
Arrive Srinagar the summer capital of Kashmir. In Srinagar, you will be staying in a deluxe class houseboat a nautical version of a five star hotel room. After refresh you commence your sight-seeing activities with the glorious past of Kashmir visiting the famous Mughal gardens. Shalimar (Abode of Love) built by Jahangir for his beloved queen NurJahan in 1616. Nishat(The Garden of Pleasure) built by Asif khan for his sister NurJehan in 1633. The garden commands magnificent view of the lake. Chashma-i-Shahi(Royal Spring) was laid by Shah Jehan in 1632. It is famous for the spring of refreshing digestive mineral water. After lunch visit Shankerachariya temple. In the evening one hour Shikara ride on the lake. Dinner and overnight at Houseboat.
After breakfast drive to Sonamarg,”The Meadow of Gold” at an altitude of 2740 meters and is a gateway to Ladakh. After refresh by your own a walk to Thajewas glacier 4 kms from Sonamarg Optional: You can take pony at your own cost. Afternoon drive back to Srinagar. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
After breakfast drive to Gulmarg, the famous “Meadow of Flowers” at 2730 meters, with an unhindered view of Nanga Parbhat which at 8137 meters is one of the world’s highest peaks. Arrive Gulmarg and after refresh you can have a Gondola ride (Cable car) from Gulmarg to Affarwat / Kungdooru at your own cost. In the evening return back to Srinagar. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
After breakfast drive to Pahalgam. “The Valley of Shepherds” at 2134 meters en route you pass through Pampore famed for its saffron fields and Avantipur with its ruins of a 9th Century Mahadeva temple. Arrive Pahalgam and Check-in hotel. After refresh you can visit Aru valley, Betab valley and Chandanwari by local cab at your own cost. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
After breakfast you can visit Baisaran ( Mini Switzerland) by pony at your own cost or explore Pahalgam market. After lunch drive back to Srinagar. Arrive Srinagar and Check-in hotel. Rest of the day free- Dinner and overnight at hotel.
After breakfast proceed to Srinagar Airport / Railway station for flight to onward destination.
